So Rex was introduced in the second, and so far his contribution to the overall plot has been minimal at best. So I think there should be an arc in season 4 where he goes off on his own to find Cody and make peace with him after order 66.After rekindling there bond I want them to attempt something significant (Maybe blowing up Thrawn's Star Destroyer) that really damages the empire, gaining the attention of Vader and the Emperor.Vader and the 501st are sent to deal with the issue, and in the resulting fight the stormtroopers are defeated and Cody is killed. Captain Rex having seen the tactics being used, and come to the conclusion that Anakin is Vader.Realising that he is outmatched and is going to meet his end, Rex rushes Vader, grabbing the last thermal detonator of of Cody's body. Vader proceeds to impale Rex and the two lock eyes (similar to the iconic scene from AVP) and Rex comments on how his friend is truely dead before they are both consumed by flames.Vader survives and is taken aboard a Imperial shuttle by the servant from Rogue One. He is then taken to Mustafar and placed into the bacta tank seen in Rogue One.The arc ends with the servant coming into the bacta room and telling Lord Vader that Tarkin has arrived. via /r/StarWars http://ift.tt/2nmi0bf
