I Find it interesting that Ewan McGregor specifically knew Disney had Star Wars films going into the 30s, before any of us heard it from Bob Iger this week.

What seemed like a throwaway comment, now seems to have some implications. In McGregor's recent interview in which he expressed again that he would be interested in playing Obi-Wan, he also mentioned that Disney and Star Wars is "set going into the 2030s" Then a couple of days later, Disney CEO, Bob Iger mentions Lucasfilm has films planned for the next decade and a half. This "decade and a half, into the 30s" thing isn't something we've heard until now. It's the most specific they have ever been with their plans for the future of Star Wars. How did he know the specific timeframe for current Star Wars projects? He's been in talks.. on some level. This certainly could just be a coincidence, but it appears that McGregor is more involved, and has had more contact and communication with Disney and Lucasfilm than anyone has let on.I'll also mention that a year or two ago, McGregor remarked that ideas and pitches were being passed around. An Obi-Wan film is happening. It may be announced next month at Celebration. It may be announced in 2025. A Kenobi standalone will happen at some point though. I'd bet my Pod on it. via /r/StarWars http://ift.tt/2njRtJn
