Doesn't it make more sense that the Rule of 2 is a lie?

I think there could be an argument that Mace Windu is the biggest contributor to Anakin's fall to the Dark Side

Mace Windu has NEVER trusted anakin, and was against his becoming a jedi from the very beginning.Mace Windu was a leading advocate to expel Ahsoka from the Jedi order. He never believed that she was innocent, then when he found out she was he was like "lol that was actually your trial!" Personally, I think that was the last straw that caused her to leave. This was very hard on Anakin, and further shook his trust in the Jedi council.Once again, in Revenge of the Sith Mace Windu does not trust Anakin enough to assist in the Chancellor's arrest. If they had gone together, the situation would have been much more easily controlled, and he'd probably still be alive.Really he's a huge prick isn't he. And it really shows in the Clone Wars series. via /r/StarWars http://ift.tt/2qAihpG

A correlation between Snoke and Luke's goals that I think will become a main part of the story. Discuss?

So the wait for TLJ is absolutely killing me. I have a list of like fifty questions I want answered about the plot and characters (Who are the Knights of Freaking Ren? Why did Lor San-Tekka have the map to the Jedi Temple?), but I am most obsessed with the mystery of Snoke and Kylo Ren. I strongly believe Kylo Ren is NOT entirely "evil", and he's certainly not a Sith. The fact that they hint about this throughout the movie tells me that it's something important. What I want to discuss with you guys is a correlation between Snoke and Luke, specifically the goals they appear to have at this time while we can only speculate based on the movies, books, comics, and the TLJ trailer. So we know from TFA and Bloodlines that Snoke selected Kylo Ren from a young age to be his next apprentice, of which he had "several" prior to Kylo. He selected him because he is the grandson of Anakin Skywalker and the nephew of Luke Skywalker, thus being a very strong mix of Dark and Light sides of the force. Why does the Supreme Leader, who we all must assume is a bad guy associated with the Dark Side, want an apprentice who is "balanced"? I believe Snoke is VERY old, and comes from the very early days of Jedi and Sith. I think he knows something, and I think Luke has discovered what Snoke knows. Now on to Luke. We know Luke has been searching for the first Jedi Temple. We do not know why for absolute sure, but we know it was as a result of Kylo Ren destroying the Jedi academy Luke had started and killing the other students. Luke goes searching for knowledge, or artifacts, related to the Jedi. And WHAT HE FINDS THERE CHANGES HIS OUTLOOK ON THE JEDI ENTIRELY, if we are to take his quote from the trailer at face value, "It is time for the Jedi to end". I think Luke found some important knowledge, knowledge that Snoke already has.In TFA, Snoke doesn't seem to care about finding Luke nearly as much as Kylo. Snoke seems bent on the Resistance NEVER finding Luke or what he went to find, as opposed to Kylo who seems bent on finding Luke himself (for reasons I'd love to discuss, but I'm trying to stay focused). I think Snoke is aware of the first Jedi Temple and the knowledge stored there, however he might not think Luke could have ever found it, or be able to bring what he found back to the Resistance if he (Snoke) crushes the Resistance swiftly, or simply destroys the map and their chances of ever finding what he knows. So in conclusion, I think Snoke knows some prophecy or destiny tied to the Force and it's users. I think he knows that in the end, neither the Sith nor the Jedi will prevail, but someone in the middle. Clearly he seeks a balanced apprentice, this much we know. Perhaps this could simply be an experiment on his part, to have a strong apprentice with powers of both Jedi and Sith, without having the drawbacks of the Dark Side powers (selfishness and all that) or the Jedi (denying one's desires, refusing attachments). I think, though, it has to do with something much much bigger, something perhaps written on those books that we see Luke touching in the trailer. The Journal of the Whills maybe? We know there's some "Weird" stuff in this movie. If you've read any information at all about TLJ, you would have heard that it's "different" and "weird" and whatnot. I think this is why. It's a huge left turn away from the traditional Light vs Dark, Good vs Bad.TL:DR- I think Snoke knows that the fate of the galaxy will fall into the hands of a Force-Neutral being. That's why he chose Kylo, a balance of Dark and Light. I think Luke has discovered this knowledge and is training Rey to be neither Jedi nor Sith, which we can assume to be true based on "It's time for the Jedi to end" quote. And for the record, I could be WAY OFF on all of this, and look like a total idiot. But guys, I am so freaking excited for this movie.. I'm dying to know where this plot goes, how Rey and Kylo's journeys unfold, what Luke found there and what he does going forward.. Oh MAN I can't wait.Edit- Tell me this doesn't support my case. The poem from the TFA novel, taken from the Journal of the Whills"First comes the dayThen comes the night. After the darknessShines through the light. The difference, they say,Is only made rightBy the resolving of grayThrough refined Jedi sight." via /r/StarWars http://ift.tt/2rmzFSa

Did Palpatine influence Anakin with the Force when he said "Do it!" ?

I might be reaching here, but I don't know anyone who's really in to Star Wars, so you're my only hope.I just watched the scene, and at 2:58 as Anakin is struggling and Palpatine commands him to execute Dooku, there is what sounds like that deep bass sound used to identify the Force in use, followed immediately but the drums of the music. Maybe it's all the music and I'm imagining things, but I really do wonder if Palpatine used the Force to give Anakin that push he needed at that critical moment where, in his uncertainty and after perhaps tapping into his anger to defeat Dooku, his defense against the Dark Side might have wavered. It struck me as sort of like the Command spell in D&D and the novelizations, where a spoken order carries magic to attempt to coerce the target to take the action.Anakin immediately after was like "wtf did I do." Maybe he was in the moment, or maybe he quite literally was not himself? via /r/StarWars http://ift.tt/2qEdIdl

If they ever have Boba Fett in a movie again, I hope they find a way to include...

the line, "You can run, but you'll only die tired." Apparently, it's from a few Legends books, but the line is too bad ass to never happen in canon. via /r/StarWars http://ift.tt/2r9iuCQ

A different interpretation of "You're afraid... that you will never be as strong as Darth Vader!"

"You're afraid... that you will never be as strong as Darth Vader"Perhaps Kylo Ren fears he'll never be strong enough to defeat his master, Snoke...One might argue that his physical reaction and reluctance to hand Rey over to Snoke would prove that Rey tapped into his deepest secret– his fear that he's gone too far into dark side to ever come back to the light.Regarding Kylo's monologue with Vader's helmet...Forgive me. I feel it again... The pull to the light... Supreme Leader senses it. Show me again... The power of the darkness... And I'll let nothing stand in our way... Show me... Grandfather... and I will finish... what you started. It almost sounds like he's more concerned about Snoke sensing his pull to the light rather than the pull to the light itself. And Kylo says something really important here- "Show me again..." Implying that he has already been shown something by Vader, so I suspect that Kylo is able to use the helmet to experience a force-back vision of all of Darth Vader's dark side actions ever since the helmet was put on him.Perhaps it'll take being visited by Anakin's force-ghost, handling his lightsaber for the first time, or maybe Leia's forgiveness that'll finally push him back towards the light (which also doubles as his biggest fear). via /r/StarWars http://ift.tt/2rS0ZIq

For all those who gave up on The Clone Wars during S1 because you thought it was childish...

Bad decision. You're missing out on a large chunk of Star Wars that rewards you greatly once you invest time into it.Seriously, I'm surprised by the number of Star Wars fans who haven't watched it because they thought Ahsoka was annoying or the animation was bad. Each to their own but, in my opinion, skipping The Clone Wars is like skipping an entire movie. via /r/StarWars http://ift.tt/2qxxPdL
