In Empire Strikes Back, the scene which Han Solo is getting frozen, Chewy loses it and starts taking out storm troopers on the platform. In the midst of the chaos Boba Fett aims his blaster at Chewy and Vader quickly pushes down and allows Chewy to keep fighting till the soothing words of Han calms Chewy down and they get on with it. It seems so out of character for Vader to save someone. After all he loves killing everyone, not only the men but women and children too. Why save the wookie?
