The Sequel Trilogy should never have been directed by more than one director. Even if the story sucked, at least it could have been consistent.

Rise of Skywalker had to do a bit of backtracking and a lot of cheapening or disregard of story beats put in place by Rian Johnson. Even if JJ really wanted Rey to be a Palpatine, which I think a large majority of us would agree wasn’t the best choice, at least we wouldn’t have had to waste so much time and interest having Rian try to do one thing and JJ coming back and doing something else. via /r/StarWars https://ift.tt/2U959Jw
