And it was absolutely glorious. For a bit of context, she knew that there was this "Darth Vader" and he was a big bad guy. She also knew there was a "Skywalker family".A few weeks prior (in the time between episode I and II), she told me that she was so sorry in a very disappointed voice, because "she got spoiled that Anakin was Vader's son."I had a very hard time finding a valid answer to that without crumbling in laughter but I somehow managed to get her convinced that it was not a big deal and that it would absolutely not alter her viewing of episode III (turned out to actually be quite the opposite hahah). We watched in order I-II-III. I debated for a long time which order would be the best and it ultimately came down to the type of movies I thought she would be more into. And well it seems that it was the right call. She was absolutely overwhelmed by everything. The moment she heard "You will now be known as Darth..." she turned to me with the most mortified look I've ever seen from her."...VADER" and she was done. She could not stand that the cute blonde-haired boy had become THE bad guy, THE very only thing she thought she knew about the Star-Wars franchise. The very thing she was certain of was absolutely CRUSHED in front of my eyes and it was beautiful. And then the Anakin/Obiwan fight, Yoda/Sidius fight, late Padmé's procession... At this point she was just in pure disbelief and started to tear up.I didn't watch this movie in about 3-4 years and god damn I teared-up more than I ever did watching that. Somehow the older I grow the more I tend to let this shit hit me, and I actually love it.Anyway, thanks for reading this, I hope I managed to convey but 1% of the emotion I was in this evening. This one will be remembered for a long time.I truly hope someday you are as lucky as I am and meet someone 100% unspoiled on the movie's main twists. Because it is truly an amazing experience for everyone involved. Now onto the Original Trilogy ! via /r/StarWars https://ift.tt/2InNEhZ
