This may not be the popular opinion, but I think it needs to be said:Disney will not use the world between worlds to retcon the sequel films. That's a ridiculous idea from both a storytelling and monetary standpoint. They've put too much time, and too much money into those films and characters to use some hokey loophole to act like they never existed. If anything, here is the most likely outcome if Disney doesn't want to focus on the sequel trilogy's characters and the world:They may possibly just put quite a bit of time focusing on three different StarWars time periods:-the high republic as established by the recently announced show the Acolyte-the "Mandalorian" timeframe as established by the plethora of new shows taking place then-just maybe post sequel trilogy time, as implied by the rogue squadron promo material (not confirmed)Almost all the new content is set between Return of the Jedi, and the force awakens, and with the positive reaction from fans to the Mandalorian, its clear Disney plans to stick in that timezone for the next while, even saying they want to do an MCU style shared story with a big event, set in that period of StarWars. So no, they will not use time travel or alternate realities to make some Filony/Favreau universe where the sequels did not happen, that is a painfully ridiculous theory that I am seeing way too often.sorry for the rant, but c'mon people, its such a silly theory via /r/StarWars https://ift.tt/3n5GhgU
