Never been the biggest EU fan, but i was looking for something more after TCW finished, so I went fishing through the EU and came across Zahns Thrawn trilogy from the 90's.And holy cow is it good!I'm only 3 quarters of the way through Heir to the Empire, but I can't believe how good the writing is. All of the characters are true to their movie counterparts, but expanded upon in believable ways. Of course there is Thrawn who is an an absolute gem of a character, but my favorite character so far is Pelleaon. Zahn did an amazing job at expanding upon and making the Empire far more grounded through him.I hope to one day see these stories brought to television.
