I Slept on the Clone Wars TV Show

I wanted to share that I am a fool. I'm over 30 now, and I love Star Wars. I remember seeing the original movies on tape as a kid, and loving them. I remember loving the prequal trilogy as a teenager, growing older and seeing its flaws, then coming full circle to appreciate it for what it is. Mandalorian reignited my interest and passion for Star Wars quite a bit, and after S2 I became hungry for more, so I thought what the heck I'll try The Clone Wars.I slept on this series for awhile because of the animation. Quite frankly, it looked like a kid show to me. To add to that, the first few episodes also felt a bit "kiddy" with a life lesson being taught each episode. I stuck with it though but kind of fizzled out at the start of S2 and took a break. Something happened during S3 (can't pin point it) but the show really started to grow on me. I started caring about all the clones, all of the clone era Jedi, and really enjoying the story. I'm only at the start of S4 now but wow I am truly impressed. My current position in the show seems to follow a 3-episode arc now for each mini-story and I quite like the formula. It feels better than every episode being disconnected but still connected in the larger storyline.It has actually gotten to the point where I want more clone war era media. I'm a gamer as well, and have now beaten Jedi Fallen order (pretty fun), have played a lot of SWBF (every single release), and am now playing SWTOR to scratch the Star Wars itch. My goodness, we really could use some new Star Wars games, the potential is immense. Back to TV...I have to say what Filoni and Favreau did with Mandalorian was fantastic, and I thought well I really should give Clone Wars a fair chance since Filoni Star Wars is pretty darn good. I'm glad I did, and I am very excited to see what the Bad Batch is (know nothing about it since still watching CW), and I am excited to check out Rebels as well.Anyways, just felt like sharing, maybe another person who has the same pessimistic mindset about Clone Wars will read this, try it out, and find it enjoyable too :) via /r/StarWars https://ift.tt/3tHARMJ
