To all the Star Wars “fans” who are boycotting IX

I’ve been wanting to make a post like this for a while now, as I feel the hate for the sequels has gotten out of hand on the internet. Every video or post you see about Star Wars will have some amount of hate for the sequels on it, and recently in the comments section for many videos about Episode IX (especially those that are talking about the most anticipated movies of 2019), there has been many comments like: “I’m not watching this IX shit” “I’d be more excited for a rectal examination than IX” (yes this was a real comment with 40 likes) etc.Well I’d like to tell you that Star Wars IX will include:Carrie Fisher’s last ever performance in a movie.John Williams’ last ever Star Wars score. Most likely Mark Hamill’s last ever role in a Star Wars movie. The final chapter of the Skywalker Saga, the end of a 42 year old series of films that are beloved by so many.Billy Dee Williams returning as Lando, in what will most likely be his last Star Wars performance. The return of an excellent cast of actors and characters that inspire so many, and the addition of many new and incredible people. And so, so much more.So just before you say that this will be the worst movie ever, and that you will boycott it, just remember what this film actually means and stands for. The last chapter of a universally loved and cherished series that has redefined pop-culture, hell, maybe even our own lives. Next time just think before you type something like that, just consider giving this movie, this experience, a chance. To anyone that saw this post, thank you for reading it, I hope to see you all at the episode IX opening night showings :) via /r/StarWars http://bit.ly/2AyXD0i
