My hope for Kylo is that he ends up with the same fate as Ulic Qel-Droma

So looking at the next movie it seems we are left with only two options. Either Kylo is redeemed and live which many people would see as being unearned after his actions in the last two movies and him choosing the dark in the throne room. And him being redeemed and killed off. Which would not only be a repeat of Vader's story but also end the skywalker line and leave us with the last skywalker being a mass murdering darksider. So what if their was a third option. A way for him to survive but not be immediately forgiven by himself or the galaxy. A way for him to have to seek out redemption and forgiveness from both himself and the galaxy. And a way that would really fit well with Rey's character.I think a excellent thing to do would be to take a page out of the Tales of the Jedi comics or more recently the Avatar the last Airbender show.In Tales a Jedi Knight falls to the darkside and leads a attack on the Jedi Library world of Ossus where he ends up killing his brother. His former friend Nomi Sunrider (who Rey reminds me a lot of for reasons I'm still not sure of. I mean they have nothing in common) can not bring herself to kill her former friend both out of love and her dislike of killing. So she does something different. She draws on the force and creates a metaphorical "cage of light" around him cutting off his connection to the force. He still exists in the force but he can't use its abilities or hear it anymore.Their is no harsher punishment for a force user than to be cut off from the voice of the universe. What Ulic does next after leading the remaining Jedi to the location of his Sith partner is to go on a journey for about 10 years where he wanders from planet to planet looking to be left alone and die. He ends up finding his redemption in Nomi's daughter who hunts him down and asks him to train her. His time with her allows him to reconnect with the force and join with the force when he dies.In Avatar the Last Airbender Aang is in the same position Luke is in RotJ. All of his friends and masters are telling him that he must kill the firelord. But while he can fight and knows how Aang is a pacifist, he refuses to kill. So he has to decide what to do about a person who is only steps away from wiping out the last bit of resistance and taking over the planet. At the end Aang is able to choose a third path that defeats the firelord while letting him keep his morals intact. Using his powers as the Avatar Aang is able to seal off the Firelords abilities defeating him and ensuring he will never be a threat again (they don't learn how to undo it untill Korra's time) without having to kill. For Kylo this is a good way to keep him alive and in the story without having to either kill him off or make it seem like he all of a sudden flipped sides. It is a way that will cause him to have to earn his forgiveness both from himself and the galaxy instead of automatically being given it because the movies say so. I mean by Bloodline people still hadn't forgiven Darth Vader. So Kylo getting off scott free would seem strange after he ascends to the rank of supreme leader. Even Kyp was never wholly left off the hook and he only blew up one system while under controll of a sith lord.It also might be good for Kylo himself. I get the feeling from the talk about his dreams and his pull between the light and the dark that the force may have been more of a curse than a blessing to him. So while someone like Rey would see it as this great thing to have it could be freeing for Kylo to no longer hear its song in his ear.He could spend some time roaming the galaxy and doing good for people and trying to make up for his mistakes. Or he could help Rey restart the order and heal the hurt he caused by destorying the school. Or he could do something totally different and just be a normal person in a galaxy of trillions. And it would keep him alive both to show up in future books/comics/whatever and allow the possibility for the skywalker lineage to continue. It would also work well for Rey as a final victory for many of the same reasons it works for Nomi and Aang (minus the no killing thing which she seems to enjoy). Romantic or platonic she has a connection and feelings for Kylo. So if she believes that he truly wont turn back after TLJ this would allow her a third option like Aang sought. OR if she can't bring herself to kill him (like she couldn't while on the supremacy when she woke up first) this would allow her a way to take him out of the fight/power without having to kill him.I really doubt this will be the ending we get but its one that I would like to see. via /r/StarWars http://bit.ly/2GYbKC0
