Gray absolutely nailed her depiction of Leia in both Bloodline and Leia, Princess of Alderaan. There's no replacement for Carrie Fisher, but Gray's characterization of her feels very much like the "real Leia." I really hope they give Leia's canon death to a full Claudia Gray novel rather than killing her off-screen.She's one of the clear best writers of the new canon and could really do it justice. The previous two books both focus on her efforts trying to pull together a rebellion, and conflict between her own desires vs. her duty to the galaxy. A conclusion and full "Leia trilogy" that shows Leia grappling with the destruction of the Resistance at the end of TLJ would be really fitting, and give Gray a chance to resolve the loose end from Bloodline of Leia's disgrace in the eyes of the galaxy. It's the ending our Princess deserves. via /r/StarWars http://ift.tt/2FKb4Pz
