
By that, I mean that they MUST (or should, really) explain how he fits into the saga as a whole. It can be as simple as him being an unknown threat that Palpatine was preparing to go to war with (or whatever). But we certainly need more than: "He's just the dark side guy who's leading the First Order. Roll with it."As another great poster said, that will make the ST feel like a disjointed DLC pack that was just tagged onto the end of the main story (1-6).In the first 6 films, the Sith were the gatekeepers of the dark side. If you're going to insist that Snoke is not a Sith, then you absolutely need to provide some more context for that claim. So we don't need the entire Wikipedia page rundown (as RJ said), but we need a little more than what the Emperor got in the OT (where he was just the dark side guy who was running the Empire).
