Does this get better?

I've been slowly getting back into the Star Wars EU after years away (New Jedi Order was the last thing I read prior) and started out with Thrawn. It was fantastic.Fueled with hope and optimism for the new EU, I read Kieron Gillen's Darth Vader comic run. Also fantastic.I watched The Clone Wars (frequently fantastic and sometimes awful), got caught up on Rebels (sometimes fantastic and rarely awful).So then I read Aftermath.Uhm.I'm going to read the two sequels regardless, because I'm at that point, but is there notable improvement as they go along?
