A Celebration in Review


This is the fourth post dedicated to collecting the of the month into one place for everyone who may have missed anything. However, because we just had Star Wars Celebration, this post will focus on news dedicated to the news revealed in Orlando. Let me know if I missed anything. So, with that out of the way, here is Star Wars Celebration in review.The 40th Anniversary Panel gave us information on the creation of Star Wars, information on characters, and a very welcome surprise appearance by George Lucas, himselfForces of Destiny, a show highlighting the female characters of Star Wars, was announcedWe learned about the design, artwork, and thought that went into making Rogue One: A Star Wars StoryIn Dave Filoni and Pablo Hidalgo's "Animated Origins and Unexpected Fates" panel, we learned about how Maul was revived, how Boba Fett received that dent in his helmet, and a certain concept art for Rex in camoJourney to Star Wars: The Last Jedi was announced, giving us The Legends of Luke Skywalker by Ken Liu, Leia by Claudia Gray, Phasma by Delilah S. Dawson, and Captain Phasma, a comic taking place between The Force Awakens and The Last JediThe highly anticipated The Last Jedi panel revealed that the name of Kelly Marie Tran's character is Rose, we got to see the poster of The Last Jedi, and we learned about General Leia Organa's legacy in the movie after Carrie Fisher's unfortunate passingOh! We also got some silly The Last Jedi trailer. No biggyIn "Smooth Talkin' with Billy Dee Williams" we learned that Lando would NOT be appearing in The Last JediIn the "Making of Rogue One" panel, we learned about the struggles with the CGI, the motion capture suits, and the sounds of the movieWe learned that the late Carrie Fisher would not be making an appearance in Episode IXHasbro unveiled Black Series Thrawn, Jaina Solo, and Inferno Squadron pilotIn the Star Wars Rebels Season 4 Panel, we learned that this season would be the last, we learned that Saw Gerrera would return to the show, and we learned that Rukh, fan favorite from the Thrawn Trilogy, would return to canon in Star Wars Rebels (while also being voiced by Warwick Davis)The trailer for Season 4 of Rebels was releasedIn the "Heroines of Star Wars" panel, we learned of the influences of the actresses of Star Wars, had a guest appearance by Daisy Ridley, and learned more about the Forces of Destiny shorts set to be released in JulyIn the "LEGO Star Wars: The Freemaker Adventures" panel, we learned of certain costume changes to characters, we learned of a new villain, and it was confirmed that Hera lives past The Empire Strikes BackAt the Star Wars: Battlefront II Panel, we learned that the game will have a single-player campaign where you play as Iden Versio, a member of Inferno Squadron. We also found out that the game would span all three eras of Star Wars and that we could play as different classesWe also learned that Inferno Squad, a book written by Christie Golden, will serve as a prequel to the Battlefront II campaignWe learned that Star Wars Disneyland and Disney World will NOT be based on the movies via /r/StarWars http://ift.tt/2oA5VvT
