One thing that i have noticed while discussing the Force Awakens is that many people have no idea why Ren desperately searches for ways to dive deeper into the dark side and dismiss it as an emo being in a phase.Imagine that you are Ben Solo, His parents are heroes to the the galaxy and have admirers from all over the galaxy. His uncle is the last Jedi and is believed to have defeated the two most evil beings in the galaxy. He is the heir to one if not the most powerful family in the world and feel extremely pressured to continue the legacy. He then starts to show signs of potential to being able to have access to weird powers while his parents are more focused on their own businesses than helping him through the struggle. His Mum then send you away to train to harness that power and become a Jedi which is if Luke is following the Jedi Code a life of celibacy and detachment. Then after a few years a horrible scandal hits the family. Darth Vader hated across the galaxy despite Leia's best attempts is revealed to be her and Luke's father. Ben as a result receives an extreme backlash in terms of bullying and hate at the academy while the faith in his parents is probably extremely small. It is probably then he starts to read about the great Anakin Skywalker, exclaimed as the chosen one and his repeated dismissal by the Jedi since Anakin and Padmé's relationship probably is not common fact Ben probably assumes Anakin became a Sith not because of love but because he thought that the Jedi views are wrong. A mysterious figure then enters his mind that claims he can make him as powerful and commanding as his grandfather that pretty much radicalize him witch when you are lonely and friendless is probably much easier then if you're Luke Skywalker, a hero loved and admired by the rebellion. Ben probably starts to think that the only way he can live up to the enormous legacy his family has is by following the steps of his grandfather.TL;DR Kylo Ren was probably basically radicalized very easily by Snoke out of loneliness and fear that he would not live up to his family name. via /r/StarWars http://ift.tt/2qcwIQ5
