Just recently rewatched Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith. The prequels have always gotten a lot of flack for being crappy/ not as good as the originals. I never hated the prequels however I wasn't a big fan of them. Now that I've rewatched them for the first time in I'd say two years, my perspective has changed. Yes there is some cheesy dialogue and some cheesy scenes however there is much to like about them. Star Wars has always been known to have some cheesy dialogue. Star Wars has always been about story telling. I now really respect what the prequels added to the story and characters. One complaint I've always had about the originals is the lack of tragedy. Nobody ever dies in those. You learn to feel for the characters but there is never any loss. The prequels were a rollercoaster of emotions, especially when it came to Obi Wan and Anakin. The prequels added so much to Obi Wan/Ben and Anakin/Vaders characters. Now that I think about it, Star Wars has really always been about Anakin. The prequels made me really like Anakin and watching Episode III always sucks to see him turn to the dark side. Love or hate the prequels, you must respect how much they added to the franchise. via /r/StarWars http://ift.tt/2p2tIs0
