How the camera focuses/zooms in on a character that knows they're about to die, and how it doesn't switch until the direct moment of that character's death.A nice touch that I felt really made each character's death more emotional...despite no words being said.Just some examples: Saw Gerrara looked at the incoming debris from the Death Star blast that destroyed Jedha, and the camera stays on him until you can see some of the sand/debris envelop his face. (In the same shot we see how he has accepted his death, removing his breathing apparatus and extending his arms, embracing the wave of destruction)Baze Malbus's death is an explosive one...as he sees the Death Trooper roll towards him with an activated grenade, he looks at his best friend Chirrut one last time, knowing his death is sealed. The camera then cuts back to him and it zooms in on Baze's compassion-filled face, until you can see the explosion from the grenade hit his face.As Jyn and Cassian embrace in their final moments, the camera zooms in on Jyn as she watches the explosion from the Death Star blast approach her, to the point where you can see her eyes glistening...while the chorus in the background reaches a crescendo. It's really beautiful cinematography that struck me as really enhancing the death of each character, who died without real recognition. via /r/StarWars http://ift.tt/2icaT2S
