Mandalorian seems to play out exactly like a video game, plot wise.

From the beginning where mando earns his armor piece by piece, it’s like upgrading gear.This last episode of the new season he had a goal to get to mandalore and side things pop up like the pirates and having to first rebuild the drone and track parts.
