Why do Jedi think splitting up is a good idea?

Why didn't Obi-Wan and Yoda go after Palpatine together (no real need to face Anakin at the same time as far as I can tell) and why didn't they train Luke and Leia simoulentiously? via /r/StarWars https://ift.tt/3CSa4Tu
