Anyone else wish that Solo actually showed Han at the Imperial Academy?

Personally, I think it would've made the movie much better because it would've shown us (instead of merely telling) a more complete picture of his backstory, I saw the Star Trek movie last night (coincidentally, directed by JJ Abrams, who worked on the sequels), and the way it depicted Kirk as a Starfleet Cadet was pretty much exactly how I imagined Han as a Imperial Pilot, a frisky guy around the females and arrogant show off in the flight simulators, another reason why I see it as such a missed opportunity is because we also would've had a glimpse of how Han was like when he knew nothing about aviation, and how drastic it would've been compared to how we know him as the Millennium Falcons' Captain.I wonder if maybe, Lucasfilm might actually have scenes like this in their archives, because from what I've heard Solo underwent a massive overhaul at one point, plus there are so many scenes from the Originals and Prequels that have only came out recently (like Biggs revealing he's a Rebel and talking with Luke about the Empire's ongoing socialist transformation, Han kissing a girl that's obviously not Leia in Mos Eisley, Luke being bullied by Koo Stark's character and her friends after spotting a star destroyer in the sky, the weird alien with the long legs), and some not at all (according to Ian MacDiarmid, there is a scene of Anakin killing the younglings with up close violence, legend has it that some of that scene was used for the "I can't watch" moment where Obi Wan views the hologram). via /r/StarWars https://ift.tt/3yQNUis
