Who here appreciates the smaller scale that Star Wars seems to be headed in?

I can't point to one moment in "The Mandalorian" where there is bombasic action of unrealistic porportions (At least in the Star Wars Universe) There arent huge wars going on at all times with massive starship battles and outlandish amounts of people fighting. In fact, the series finale was actually a confined space, full of tension, which I think is perfect for the series. Not to mention it gave the characters obvious limits. Mando might be special, he might be able to spar with a Jedi Knight like Ashoka, but he still isn't invunerable. And the new Death Troopers proved that.IMO it allows characters to breathe and develop without constant fanfare and warfare. I'm able to see a small group of say, 4-5 characters all living their lives and developing into different people. And it makes some of the dangers in the Star Wars universe less "Desensitized".When I'm watching the Episode 6 Death Star battle, am I worried about a Rancor? No way. But when I watch the Mandalorian, even moment of a guns drawn "Who's gonna shoot first" feel tense. I really like that. I also like the lack of lightsabers and structure in the series. There isn't as black and white lines between the "Bad guys" and the "Good guys". There's no "Rebels / Republic vs. Empire / Seperatists". It's just people trying to get by and protect people they love.Who else here appriciates the smaller scale the Obi and Mando series seems to be heading? via /r/StarWars https://ift.tt/3uHbFGD
