So far, I am really liking the High Republic novels and comics. I highly recommend anyone who hasn’t read one yet to pick up the first novel, “Light of the Jedi.”

I am an old-school Legends/EU novels fan. The High Republic simultaneously reminds me of reading those books back in the day while also tells surprisingly fresh and new stories. I think other Legends fans will like it, too.If you like the Prequels, this new era is very much for you. It’s much like The Phantom Menace and the Clone Wars, where the Jedi work to preserve the Republic. The difference this time, however, is the Republic has a functional and popular government.If you like the Old Republic, this era will also be highly appealing to you. It is, more-or-less, a “sequel” the Old Republic era. It takes place 800 years after Darth Bane and tells the story of the Republic finally rebuilding their presence outside the Core Worlds, in the space that was once lost to wars with the Sith Empire.
