So I finally finished watching CW after putting it off for years and I fucking LOVED it! This show fixed a ton of issues I had with the prequels and may have just elevated them in my opinion. This show does a greater job at expanding the Star wars universe than the movies do in my opinion.I think sequels would benefit greatly from having a similar animated companion show. It would fix a lot of gripes people have with certain plot points (myself included) and could possibly make them better in retrospect. It could have a TCW style anthology format that takes place at different periods throughout the sequels and not just in between, for example, TLJ and TROS. Like certain episodes could show Rey's life on Jakku before TFA, or have an episode about Finn's life as a stormtrooper or Poe's life as a spice runner. Though I think the meat of the show should involve Palpatine preparing his return from behind the scenes. I'd also like this show to explore Luke and Ben Solo's relationship before and during Ben's slow descent to the dark side, which is something I thought could've been elaborated on more in the ST. Also some episodes of Rey being trained by force ghost Luke would be pretty badass. For all the flaws the sequels have, there are some genuinely great ideas in those movie that just weren't executed as well as they could have been and I think they deserve a CW style show to help bridge them together. One of the CWs strengths is that it fixed a lot of plot holes from the prequels and made people appreciate the that trilogy more as a whole (admit it, no one would be ass-kissing the prequels today if it weren't for this show... admit it, guys) and I think the same could be done for the sequels. What do you guys reckon? via /r/StarWars https://ift.tt/3bHYwnM
