Is that a lot of it says "I didn't like it when ________" when blank didn't actually happen. In other words, instead of describing subjective dislike, it describes disliking something that objectively did not happen. Examples:- "Luke would never try to kill his own nephew." - You're right, and he didn't. He briefly thought about it but never made an attempt.- "Rose ruined things by stopping Finn from saving the Resistance." - Finn's suicide run was never going to work, which the scene made abundantly clear through visuals and dialogue.- "Holdo sucked because she didn't tell anyone her plan." - Nothing in the film tells us this is the case. All we know is that she didn't tell Poe her plan.- "Canto Bight was pointless and didn't impact the plot at all." - If they didn't go to Canto Bight, they wouldn't have picked up DJ, who wouldn't have leaked Holdo's plan to the FO, and the Resistance would have been safely hidden on Crait. All the people who died on or above Crait would still be alive, including Luke Skywalker. Poe and Finn wouldn't have learned their final lessons, and Rey wouldn't have demonstrated her power with the Force by lifting the rocks. That's a pretty big impact on the plot and characters. This is not to say that there is no legitimate criticism; just that, at least on the Internet, much of it that I see seems to be disingenuous. via /r/StarWars https://ift.tt/32SOvzD
