Apologies if this is common knowledge, couldn't find any posts on the topic. In the scene from Revenge of the Sith where the Vader suit is put on Anakin, his heartbeat stops from the moment the faceplate seals to the moment the helmet is fully attached. This here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LwDe845aDt4(Note: You will need headphones to hear this and youtube compression may have crushed it entirely, but chuck your bluray in, I promise it's there). There's a heartbeat sound effect throughout the whole scene, which changes when cutting between Padme's death and Vader's creation. This is a fantastic bit of sound design that says Anakin didn't only figuratively die and become Vader, he actually literally died just as the suit's life support kicked in.Dunno if this was Lucas' idea or the sound designers', but goddamn has this gone unappreciated. via /r/StarWars http://ift.tt/2gBMqUE
