What ship is the most iconic to the franchise? Which first comes to mind when you hear "Star Wars"?

I’d forgotten how intense and utterly believable Forest Whittaker is as Saw Gerrera.

Title really. It’s one of those roles where I don’t ‘see’ Whittaker himself - he totally embodies the fanatical, inflexible extremist. He gives you just enough honourable good intentions, and then laces it with mania in a way that you can really see what the appeal would be in working with this man, and how difficult it would be.I’d love a solo show really fleshing out his slide into extremism. It’s been explored somewhat across TCW, Rebels and Rogue One, but he’s such a fascinating character, I could always watch more. via /r/StarWars https://ift.tt/O7zlodJ

Y'know, I never really saw it until playing the newest God of War, but Deborah Ann Woll really slays every role she's in. I kinda wanna throw her into consideration for Mara Jade....

What depresses me watching all these fantastic Star Wars shows

There's lots to love about these shows, from Mandalorian to Andor. They've made the world feel larger and more complex. Sure, there were some less successful ones, but I've loved all of them so far. But, as a lifetime Star Wars fan, it's depressing that all this leads to the sequel trilogy and the eventual mess of an end that is The Rise of Skywalker. The promised Chosen One means jack shit, all this character building around Darth Vader means nothing because his eventual sacrifice that supposedly brought the balance to the force actually didn't do anything since the sequels are canon. All the sacrifices that the rebels made meant nothing because their new republic gets destroyed in less than 30 seconds by the Star Killer base in the sequel. It just... Really is tough to think of where these stories must end.And I actually liked The Last Jedi as a movie, but it destroyed so much that I loved about Star Wars.It just pains me that the sequels will always stay and be the canon and the ending for all these beloved characters. Pain and suffering, we all know where that leads to.Sorry, just had to rant :( via /r/StarWars https://ift.tt/OLiFtKx

If anyone’s complaining about the “bricks and screws” in Andor, just remember…

That the Thrawn trilogy opens with Luke talking to Threepio about this exotic beverage he learned how to make from Lando, and it’s called hot chocolate.Edit: For context, some YouTuber or streamer or something made a big deal about “everyday stuff” like bricks and screws showing up in Star Wars. Just Google bricks and screws and andor, there’s a bunch of stuff about it. via /r/StarWars https://ift.tt/aIO8W6h

I Loved Andor but let us be respectful to those who did not

This Fanbase and Fanbases in general have a problem with people not having the same taste as them. Andor isnt the kind of show that everyone will enjoy. Some people prefer seeing the mythical aspect of star wars, the more action packed side of star wars or jedi vs Sith. I think thats ok. This is not the kind of show that everyone will like its seems to be made for specific type of fans and people(One reason why its not as popular as other star wars shows or tv in general).Comments like "You do not understand complex storytelling, you have the attention span of a child, you dont appreciate good content etc" is belittling and judgmental. Their are people like that out there but it does not mean that if you dont like the show you are automatically one of those people. Like i said sometimes a show can be amazing and you just dont vibe with it.I get having a debate if someone gives an illogical(Too much filler, too slow, not mythical stuff etc) reason for not liking it or if someone calls it bad cause objectively its not but their is no need to argue or laugh at someone just because they dont like it. maybe that show just is not for them.People need to detach themselves from what others think and just like what they like via /r/StarWars https://ift.tt/qyRDPIB

Clone wars Anakin is better than movie Anakin

Just watched all of the clone wars and the prequels for the first time ever. Movie Anakin was just so low energy/awkward to me compared to clone wars Anakin. CW anakin was more confident and outgoing and was more in tune with his emotions for all his friends (not just padme) which I think suited him more. It makes sense that he was more talkative and mature leader in CW because he was a general leading missions and a teacher for ahsoka. I couldn’t see movie Anakin being a teacher or general for jack shit lol. He wasn’t funny either obi wan led all the playful banter but in CW they both did via /r/StarWars https://ift.tt/ErMksfz

I've been reading Dr Aphra's first comic. Great Star Wars character. Does anyone think Kat Dennings when they read it. I think they both have the same qurkie personality.

When you go to a Star Wars convention and hear someone yell “On Program!”

https://ift.tt/WOmwlvV via /r/StarWars https://ift.tt/fOyvsQB

The concept of a Death Star is so cool: a battle station so large it’s confused for a MOON. It’s so hard to beat it’s cool factor, they basically reused the idea twice more already. Can you think of a sci-fi super weapon concept that’s at least on par?
