Why do so many people speculate that Jango was stupid for shooting the saberdart at Zam instead of just blasting her to leave no evidence even though that was the whole plan to begin with.

So I watched and read many stuff people saying Jango made a grave mistake shooting the saberdart at Zam and getting caught even though it was the whole plan to begin with which would set up the Clone Wars. Like if Jango didn't shoot the saberdart how would the jedi discover both the clone army and the separatist droid army.
