I, like just about everyone else, absolutely loved the Mandalorian S1 and S2. A fantastic story that added so much to our beloved Star Wars universe. I’ve noticed many people saying this show has “put Star Wars back on the map.” And I definitely agree. But I see more than just a rekindled interest in the fan base. I’m also seeing a lot of people going back and trying to become more involved in the universe as a whole.I’m a 28 year old male and being my age I was roughly 16 when the Clone Wars movie/TV show came out. At my age me and all of my friends had zero interest in watching cartoons. We thought of it as childish and a step in the wrong direction. I changed my mind on this fairly quickly and by 2012 or so I went back and watched The Clone Wars and eventually Rebels when premiered a few years later. Now fast forward to 2020/2021 the amount of people I see in my personal life and on this sub (or any other Star Wars related sub) talking about how they’ve just watched the Clone Wars or Rebels for the first time is just mind blowing.I’ve had close to 10 people asking me about how to go about watching both Clone Wars and Rebels when it comes to chronological order and what to expect. In conclusion, The Mandalorian has done so much for the future of this franchise, but it’s also done so much for the material that precedes it. A lot of fans were not happy about watching Mando and not fully understanding the backstories of some of the characters, for example Bo Katan and Thrawn, and have decided to go back and watch the previous material. And I gotta say, it’s a beautiful time to be a Star Wars fan. via /r/StarWars https://ift.tt/2LPNogS
