Anyone else really mad at the prequels (sometimes)?

Attack of the Clones revolves around Sifo-Dyas’ commission of the clones and Dooku’s fall to the sith, yet neither of these events/characters are found in The Phantom Menace. Obviously, hindsight is 2020, but for as planned out as the prequels seemed, it still stumps me on how there was no mention/allusion to these events. I guess it’s just weird.
