I had a thought about something. We already know the dark side of the Force can impregnate physical objects, and that dark side users have even stored there very consciousness in those objects. So, based on that idea, what if the through-line for the nine movies is that Palpatine has been setting things up for him to steal other people's bodies, using the Force powers he learned from Darth Plagueis? I think the Emperor has been looking for a new body to steal since episode 1. I think, it’s possible, he could even be Darth Plagueis, who took Palpatine's body when Palpatine killed him, releasing him from his own body. What if he created Anakin, through Force alchemy, in order to have the "perfect Force vessel" for him to take over and inhabit, but Anakin had to be filled with the dark side, to make him vulnerable to that possession? After Anakin was damaged in his fight with Obi-Wan, Palpatine no longer wanted him as a vessel. So, he waited for Luke to become an adult, and set things in motion to have Luke brought to him, in order to use Luke as his powerful Force vessel. Only to have Anakin prevent him from doing so. Perhaps Palpatine then decided to possess Snoke’s ring, or something, on the Death Star, as an emergency contingency plan, as Snoke became wounded as he was escaping the Death Star, leaving him scarred and disfigured. Snoke, then, working to bring him back, turned his sights on Ben Solo, who he groomed to go dark side in order to prepare him as a new vessel. However, when Ben keeps being pulled toward the light side, he turns his sights to Rey. Maybe, then, Snoke being struck down, freed things up Palpatine to be able to inhabit a new host, resulting in the discovery, in "The Rise of Skywalker," that he is still alive. . via /r/StarWars https://ift.tt/30l0Ev5
