From viewing Episode III it would appear that, other than Palpatine who seemed to know everything and the two droids who witnessed the ceremony, Obi-Wan is the only one to figure out the relationship during the apartment visit.Watching the Clone Wars series, however, with all the exposition and the numerous times we see Anakin and Padmé either fighting together or hanging out in Coruscant, I find it a lot harder to pretend that some Jedi or senate figure wouldn't have had suspicions.Ahsoka must surely have known, she was on great terms with both characters and strikes me as a very trustworthy person. She also had feelings of her own for Lux, so was well acquainted with this Jedi dilemma.Obi-Wan must have had some idea. Recall that in RotS, when he finds out, he never draws any attention to the Jedi Order's prohibition on it to Padmé or to Anakin on Mustafar. Of course at this point there were far more pressing matters like the revelation of Palpatine's identity, Anakin's new allegiance and the killing of the younglings, but still. I just don't think it's a huge surprise to him - he'd known for years that his padowan's behaviour could be reckless and unorthodox, and he was aware of at least a crush in AotC.If Obi-Wan knew, then that begs the question why he couldn't have had a quiet little sit-down with Anakin. If done with sincerity and honesty, I don't think it would have tempered Anakin, and in fact, could have done a lot to put him in a far healthier mental state. With some kind of understanding with the Jedi Council, perhaps he wouldn't have felt so helpless and alone in dealing with visions of Padmé's death. Would the Council really have been unpractical enough to expel a key Jedi general at the height of the Clone War?TL;DR The Jedi knew Anakin had strong feelings for his mother, surely they could since it with Padmé too. There was no Sith magic behind this secret. Maybe a blind eye was being turned. via /r/StarWars https://ift.tt/2yS8gtj
