In Attack of the Clones, Obi-Wan contacts Yoda and Mace Windu with a report on his discovery of the clone army. Yoda orders Obi-Wan: "Into custody, take this Jango Fett. Bring him here. Question him, we will." With the death of Sifo-Dyas, Fett is the only one who may be able to tell the Jedi who is really behind the new rising conflict.Despite the fact that he is present for this conversation and understands this objective, during the battle of Geonosis, Mace Windu very aggressively rushes Jango and executes him. Without Jango, the Jedi were unaware of the Sith origin of their clone army until the Clone Wars episode "The Lost One," which takes place not long before Order 66. Interrogating Jango could have alerted the Jedi to this danger much earlier and led to an unraveling of Palpatine's plans. We see this same aggression when Windu confronts Palpatine. His insistence on executing Palpatine without trial is arguably what drives Anakin in his desperation to choosing the Dark Side. Prior to that, Anakin was just hoping to speak further to a captive Palpatine about Padme's fate, leaving the matter of his fall to the dark side more open-ended.In other words, Windu's aggressiveness throughout the prequels screwed the Jedi over big time. via /r/StarWars https://ift.tt/2NvQ0PO
