Does anyone find the design of Max Reebo somewhat unsettling?

Like many people i've always assumed that Max Rebo, the blue alien in the Band at Jabba's Palace, to be an elephant guy; a large head with huge floppy ears, quite a fat chest and his lower half covered up by the instrument he was playing with those big thick arms and fingers. I found out yesterday that isn't the case at all and keep thinking about it.It turns out that what we see of Max Rebo in ROTJ is all of him. He has no arms. He's sitting on a cushion playing the instrument with his legs and feet. He doesn't have a typical head/neck, he's hunched over. Those aren't ears, they're (in canon now they're ears, but design wise it's still the same) big flippers.
