I hope people realize that a Kenobi movie has to be a tragic one

I think a lot of us miss Ewan McGregor and want to see him kick ass in the desert. But when we last saw him in Revenge of the Sith we saw him totally not wanting to kill Anakin (not even to end his suffering) and we left off with him assuming Anakin died.If a movie where to bridge the gap between that movie and A New Hope we would need to see him go from that point in Episode III to a point where he not only has learned that his apprentice is alive but has also decided that he needs to be killed at all costs. Even if it's by telling his son the truth "from a certain point of view" just to make it easier for the kid to kill him.Thinking about this really doesn't make me want a happy Obi Wan movie. That's just the reality of the character.I'm a little concerned that the fandom won't be able to handle another one of their heroes being shown as fallen from grace and that the producers will either contradict the character to avoid that or the fans will want to burn the movie.  ...Anyway, what kind of conflict would you want Obi Wan to go through in a Kenobi movie? The comics have shown him undermining the tyranny of the Hutts on Tatooine so maybe we'll see some of that. Or maybe he didn't sit around for 20 years waiting on Luke to become a Jedi and Obi Wan has tried to find a new hope before? via /r/StarWars https://ift.tt/2nHKFqf
