My parents never really got into Star Wars, though my grandmother has a huge crush on Billy Dee Williams so she dragged my mom to see Empire Strikes back when she found out he was in it.I found Star Wars by accident, really. I always knew about it, but it wasn’t until I was in my local library at age 7 that I truly became a fan. My mom told me that we could rent movies from the library so I was like “movies!”. Couldn’t find anything I was in to (transformers at the time) so I picked up the VHS for Star Wars A New Hope. I fell in love with it. Idek what exactly I loved about it, just that I was really into space adventures. The next year I went to see Episode 3 in theaters, but I don’t really remember much of my experience unfortunately. My dad told me that I was excited.Star Wars the Clone Wars gave me a newfound appreciation of the genre. 2008-2013 (the run of the show) was when I became a true Star Wars fan.Now I’ve just turned 21 years old, not even in the prime of my life, and I’m about to see a Star Wars movie every year, likely for the rest of my life, or at least a good portion of it. There was a time not too long ago, around 2006-2007, where we all thought Star Wars movies were done forever. Now, in 2018, we get to see them every year.I’m so glad I was born during this era.I’ve seen Episode 3, Star Wars: The Clone Wars, the beginning of canon, stand-alone anthology films, and the beginning of a new trilogy that we all thought would never happen.Just.....wow. via /r/StarWars http://ift.tt/2ERJqj6
