When Poe and BB-8 are reunited, Poe runs up to BB-8 and scratches his "belly" and hugs him as if he's being reunited with a beloved pet. It's the first time I've seen someone show the kind of emotional attachment to droids I've always assumed they'd develop.Obviously Luke is fond of R2, and I'm not diminishing their interactions. But the sheer joy on Poe's face was a lot like what I remember feeing when seeing my pets after a long time apart.
