For the people who are mad about Luke going out without fighting, you missed Luke’s lesson to Rey. The force isn’t about the lightsaber battles or force pushing your enemies, it’s about realization and understanding. When Luke faded into the force it was a reference to Obi Wan in a New Hope. “If you strike me down, I will become more powerful than you can possibly imagine” Except Luke didn’t need to be struck down to ascend into the force. He stood by his lesson to Rey, and used the force like no Jedi we have ever before seen. I’d say that’s an epic sendoff. Also, as Luke stares into the sun before he fades, I thought that was an excellent nod to the iconic moment we saw in episode IV on Tatooine. via /r/StarWars http://ift.tt/2CKe0Xq
