Snoke. He sensed that Ren had feelings for Rey and to help him out he set up their own little private channel to talk to each other with. He has Rey see Kylo as he is being a strong boy getting his scar healed without crying. Then he has her see him as he gets out if the shower. Ren is being too shy about confessing his feelings, so he convinces Rey to come over to his place. Once she meets the single dad he is still too shy to admit his feelings. So he decides to play the bad guy for a bit and torture her. Ren still won’t admit his feelings, so Snoke goes in for the hail mary and tells Ren to kill her.
