Almost certainly unintentional, but a small detail that creates an interesting parallel

When Luke talks to R2 and says "I'm not coming back, nothing could make me change my mind", R2 shows him Leia, or rather a projection of Leia. In ANH, Leia wasn't actually there, but she was able to inspire Luke to set off on his adventure to save the galaxy (the "spark", if you will). At the end of the movie, Luke uses a projection of himself to create a new spark. It's probably not intentional and the scene is about showing Luke the people he cares about, but I thought it was an interesting parallel anyway. via /r/StarWars http://ift.tt/2BQbZIY
