George always said that after the prequels came out, we'd look at Vader differently whilst watching the sequels. Upon rewatching the sequels, I never felt this way. He always was, and remained, Vader up until his dying moments in the OT.However, when I was watching Rogue One recently, I realised that this time around, something had changed. My perception of Vader had changed completely - this time around, I saw him very much as being Anakin.The entire time; his sarcastic demeanour around Krennic, the raw power in his last scene - I found myself thinking "Holy crap, that's Anakin.
