In Attack of the Clones, why didn't they just reattach Anakin's arm?

It's not like it fell down an air shaft or into some lava. It's just right there on the ground. What's the in-universe reason they didn't just put it back on? via /r/StarWars http://ift.tt/2uZvl9s
