Do you think we'll get some new ship designs in IX, or will they stick with the retro look?

I think it's the latter, unfortunately. The only new major ship designs that we've gotten in this trilogy (so far) are Kylo Ren's Command Shuttle, the Resistance Bomber, and the Resistance Ski Speeder. Everything else is pretty derivative of what we've seen before (almost identical to the OT versions, but with a few "modern" updates).In the PT, we had a wide variety of unique looking ships. Some were clearly the predecessors of the ships we knew from the OT, but there was enough variety in there to keep things fresh and new.If I have one major complaint about the ST so far, it's that they're trying too hard to make everything LOOK like the OT. I know this clearly won't be a problem for everyone, but it makes it feel like technology stopped advancing in the 30 years between the OT and the ST. via /r/StarWars http://ift.tt/2vATwyt
