I can understand why he could not do it while on the mission in TPM but why not once they return from Tatooine? The Jedi Order “were the guardians of peace and justice in the Galactic Republic”. Slavery is objectively bad so why was there no report to the republic and subsequent efforts to free slaves on the planet by the Jedi and/or republic?
