Does anyone else feel like Uncle Owen was under used in the prequels

Does anyone else feel like the prequel kinda forgot about Uncle Owen then somewhat shoe horned him in later? While I don’t know how much he should have been involved I feel like the fact that in the prequels he and Anakin didn’t even know each other until they were adults kinda is a missed opportunity. The impact of uncle Owen having supposed ideology issues with Anakin doesn’t really make as much sense as canonically they only knew each other for about 2/3 years in which he likely never or rarely visited since there was a war and his mom was already deadI wish they had been able to do something to make their relationship atleast somewhat closer, considering he was the only relative we had met in the original series. Even if they didn’t make him a major part, I feel like they could have easily just made on of Anakins friends in the Phantom Menace named Lars instead of random names like Kister (who also was never mentioned again in the series) Maybe I’m the only one who really cares but I do wish that they actually used one of the few characters who were alive in both the prequels and original series via /r/StarWars https://ift.tt/0asBg8C
