What depresses me watching all these fantastic Star Wars shows

There's lots to love about these shows, from Mandalorian to Andor. They've made the world feel larger and more complex. Sure, there were some less successful ones, but I've loved all of them so far. But, as a lifetime Star Wars fan, it's depressing that all this leads to the sequel trilogy and the eventual mess of an end that is The Rise of Skywalker. The promised Chosen One means jack shit, all this character building around Darth Vader means nothing because his eventual sacrifice that supposedly brought the balance to the force actually didn't do anything since the sequels are canon. All the sacrifices that the rebels made meant nothing because their new republic gets destroyed in less than 30 seconds by the Star Killer base in the sequel. It just... Really is tough to think of where these stories must end.And I actually liked The Last Jedi as a movie, but it destroyed so much that I loved about Star Wars.It just pains me that the sequels will always stay and be the canon and the ending for all these beloved characters. Pain and suffering, we all know where that leads to.Sorry, just had to rant :( via /r/StarWars https://ift.tt/OLiFtKx
