Alot of people on here talk about whether or not Kylo will be redeemed by the end of the trilogy. However, I don't want to see him redeemed. Yes, it would be nice to see Ben see the error of his ways and return to the light side. However, we already got a redemption arc with Darth Vader. Doing a redemption arc again would make people say it's a repeat of Return of the Jedi. Vader had his moment on the Death Star II with Luke and Palpatine, where he chose his son and the light side over the dark side and his master. Kylo had the same moment on the bridge with Han. He had the two choices; continue following Snoke and the dark side, or come back with his father and to the light. Kylo chose the opposite of his grandfather, and chose the dark side, and murdered his father. Han seemed to be Ben's biggest draw to the light side. I think throughout The Last Jedi, Ben will be dealing with murdering his father. While still very much torn, I think Ben will continue to do horrific acts to continue down the dark path and fully engulf himself in it. But the end of The Last Jedi, I think Kylo will be fully immersed in the dark side, and not even Leia will be able to get through to him. While it would be nice to see Ben come back to the light side, we've seen a redemption arc done, and seeing him going further down the dark rabbit hole will be interesting. via /r/StarWars http://ift.tt/2jvayG4
