Why Mon Calamari rank so high in star fighter combat.

As an amphibious race Mon Calamari learn at a young age to move underwater. Similar to how humans play fight and wrestle as children, one can assume that the Mon Calamari do a similar thing but underwater. This allows them to have a better understanding of moving in the Z axis freely, similar to space movement. Not only that but to combat, strategize and to maneuver using the Z axis. This translates well to space combat giving them an advantage over races that grew up on land. It's interesting to note that on Earth astronauts and Aerial fighters train underwater to better understand this type of combat which may support this theory. via /r/StarWars http://ift.tt/2kyo9R7
