[Spoiler] Whatever came of the potential spoiler revealed by a toy leading up to the TFA premiere?

A few months before the premiere of The Force Awakens there was a Finn toy that went up for sale in stores which included various voice lines recorded by John Boyega.One of those lines was "I never should have rescued you!"I remember a lot of speculation at the time about who he was referring to.
