Do People Really Think We'll See the End of the Jedi Order in this Trilogy?

I've seen a lot of talk about Luke being "The Last Jedi" in the title for Episode VIII and that interview were Daily Ridley said "I don't know if I am a Jedi." The speculation many are proposing is that Luke will die in VIII or IX and Rey will be a light-side Force user but not an official Jedi. However I have a hard time believing Lucasfilm/Disney would eliminate Jedi from the future of the franchise from a marketing/business perspective. Everyone knows what a Jedi is, the term is synonymous with the Force-wielding good guys, the heart of the first six movies. To cast that aside and introduce some new group of light-side Force users seems kinda pointless and confusing to me. I think its far more likely if Luke dies that Rey will become a Jedi but she'll establish a New Jedi Order (somewhat like in Legends) that is different from what both the PT Jedi and Luke were trying to accomplish, not tied down by the old rules. I think you'll be hearing the word "Jedi" plenty in Episodes X, XI, and XII. via /r/StarWars http://ift.tt/2kqrr4N
